You may not remember enrolling… but the system never forgets.
Today marks the official launch of our Kickstarter campaign for The Exchange Man, a darkly comedic and eerily bureaucratic web series that explores what happens when you get trapped in a system no one truly understands—but everyone pretends to follow.
🎬 What is The Exchange Man?It’s a surreal web series about George—a seemingly ordinary man—who discovers he’s become part of a shadowy government “exchange program.” The only problem? He doesn’t remember signing up. He missed the seminar. He failed an ethics exam he never took. And now, he’s the only one in the system who still goes by a name instead of a number.
Think Severance meets The Office, with a Kafkaesque twist and a folder full of missing memos.
📂 Why We’re Making This SeriesWe created The Exchange Man because we’ve all felt the weight of systems we didn’t build, policies we didn’t agree to, and paperwork that seems to multiply the moment you turn your back. It’s a show about absurdity, control, and the strange comfort of routine—even when that routine doesn’t make sense.
This is indie filmmaking at its weirdest, sharpest, and most personal.
